Are you a fan of National Lottery scratch cards? A Lotto syndicate from Barnsley in South Yorkshire rarely buys them but they were certainly glad they splashed out on this one after they scooped a win of a staggering £75,000.
The syndicate made up of members from a supermarket head office is made up of twenty-five players, they play the lottery throughout the year and then in December share out their accumulated small wins.
This time there was some cash left over so they decided to splash out on a few National Lottery scratch cards. The Scrabble scratch cards from the National Lottery are £2 each and having twenty-five squares on each card were perfect for the syndicate, allowing them to scratch off one square each.
Not all of the cards were lucky but one card was a winner and after much disbelief despite each member checking the card carefully they realised they were £75,000 winners. It took confirmation from Lottery officials at Camelot before the news finally sunk in and now the syndicate are deciding how to spend their cash and are planning an event out together to celebrate as a syndicate.
It’s a huge win, and although between twenty five of them won’t make a life changing difference it will make all their lives easier and the cash should certainly come in handy!
